Bella's Story...
Bella is a 3 - 4 month old German Shepherd Mix weighing 23 lbs She was pulled from a Michigan Shelter and has been temp fostering with a Rescue Friend.

She's learning "crate up" and reluctantly goes in on her own. She is learning "sit" also and we will be working on leash training this weekend. She loves tennis balls. Follows me wherever I go, always at my feet. Loves meeting new people. She is pretty laid back for a puppy though, doesn't get into much mischeif...so far.. great in the house just happy to have a few toys and be by her people.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Rochester/Buffalo German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
