My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"HOB & KNOB"
Pair of Bonded Quakers
fostered by Illeana of Sebring, FL

Meet Hob and Knob, two very young quakers (less than a year) who purr like cats when you get near them! These two birds came in quite un-tame but have calmed down a lot and can now be taken out of their cages and scritched and handled with no problems. They are also happy to do their own thing within their cage, easily entertaining themselves with toys and each other. Quakers can be very playful and boisterous birds and can even learn to talk if worked with. Hob & Knob came in on a seed diet and are currently being converted to a pellet diet with fresh fruits and vegetables as quakers are prone to fatty liver disease and should not be fed seeds. They are young enough to live for quite some time to come as quakers have been known to live up to 25-30 years! These two little clowns will make wonderful companions!
