Gorgeous Tortie 'lap cat'
Lissa is a beautiful and gentle tortoiseshell, primarily grey with white and beige splashes throughout her coat. She is about 3 years old now (spring 2013) and has been waiting a VERY long time for a new home. We found her in a freezing garage, hungry and frightened, after her previous guardian died suddenly of cancer. She is a gentle, quiet and well behaved cat who loves nothing more than to sit on your lap while you pet her and rub her ears. If a lap isn't available, she is quite happy sitting in her window hammock watching the birds or just taking a cat nap. Lissa is somewhat cautious with strangers and needs to get to know you before she will let you approach her. She generally gets along well with the other cats in her foster home, but would also do well as an only cat. She has been vet-checked, has tested negative for FeLV/FIV and has been spayed. All she needs to make life perfect is a home of her own. If you are interested in meeting this loving cat, please call 845-641-0092 and leave a message.
