Crissy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Crissy's Story...
Crissy is an 11-pound 5-year-old hairless Chinese Crested. She has some separation anxiety so would prefer a person who isn't gone long hours during the day, and though she would probably *like* to be your princess, she would be fine with having another dog to play with as long as they are her size or larger. Crissy is leash- and crate-trained, spayed and UTD on vaccines. She grew up with a woman owner and so may have a preference of having a female for her "person". Crissy is potty pad trained and is learning about traditional potty training from her foster mom.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Crissy, a Salem Chinese Crested dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chinese Crested for sale in Salem, or seeking a Chinese Crested dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chinese Crested breeders who help with Chinese Crested rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
