Newman's Info...

I am already neutered and up to date with shots.

Newman's Story...
Newman is an outrageously handsome neutered male black lab mix. This boy is a goofy, happy go lucky outgoing guy with personality to spare.

Newman is a young fella who is always ready to go with energy to spare. He has a sleek black coat with a bit of white accent on paw (jsut at the toes - very cute), chest and tummy. His big brown eyes sparkle with intelligence - and just a bit of that puppy mischief. He is a lovable guy who likes treats and is eager to please his humans. He is sure to grow into a handsome adult dog with all the wonderful attributes of a lab - loyal, smart and lovable.

Newman is sure to make a delightful addition to some lucky dog lover's home. Come make him part of your pack today!

Newman has been accepted into the New Leash on Life program where she will begin learning obedience, crate training and good doggie manners. He will begin his training at NLOL on February 14 and finish on May 2. Please contact the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina at (252) 413-7247 or hsec@embarqmail.com if you would like to meet me prior to my graduation. Newman's adoption fee will be $200.

All dogs with the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and on heartworm and flea prevention. Dogs one year or older are tested for heartworms. My adoption comes with a small bag of Hill's Science Diet food and free one month trial of pet health insurance.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Newman, a Greenville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Greenville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Greenville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greenville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greenville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greenville paves the way for another one to be saved.
