Maggie's Story...
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this dog personally. Be sure to contact the foster or organization directly from the information listed below.

Maggie is a spayed, 5-year old tan with black Shepherd/Rottweiler mix who weighs about 46 lbs. She is a shy, sweet girl. She was fun to watch as she recently took a car trip. It seemed like it was almost her first time in a vehicle. She was a bit unsure at first, but once she got moving, she seemed to love it--no barking or whining. She loves to go for walks and would probably do well with a Sensation harness. She seems to interact well with other dogs. She is looking for her special forever home.

Maggie is currently available at the County Department of Animal Services at 5480 Gaines St. in San Diego. You can come by and meet her Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30-5:30. Closed Sundays, Mondays and Holidays. For more information, go to http://www.sddac.com .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Vista Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rottweiler for sale in Vista, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rottweiler breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
