My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gus is such a special little guy. He loves young children, other dogs, playing in the yard, and taking life as it comes to him! He is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped! He is absolutely ADORABLE with one blue eye, and one brown eye! (His vision is normal!) It is a shame that his pictures do not do him justice. He is a gorgeous little beagle.

Gus has been doing so well in foster care in 2007. He is on a Rx food from the veterinarian and daily digestive enzymes ($12 for a bottle of 60 - one per day), and is expanding his intake of different treats. In fact, he is doing so well now, we believe he can be weaned from his Rx food! Gus is learning what types of things he is allowed to eat (food), and what he is not (sticks, socks, and dog toys) and is quite responsive to "no."  He has recently begun to "get" housetraining, but would do well in a home where someone is home every few hours. He increasingly seeks out human attention, and loves to get his ears rubbed!! He is such a sweet little guy. He just needs someone willing to give him a chance and understand his unique needs. If you have time and love to give to a special beagle, please think about bringing Gus into your home. He would do very well in a home with another friendly beagle for him to play with.
