My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Huh?? Huh?? My name is Maugwa!! I am a Yellow Crown Amazon. I am not really sure of my age. Beak n Wings rescued me from a hoarding situation in 2008. I went to live with a nice foster lady who had a wonderful cockatoo that I fell in love with. This was not a healthy relationship for me so I went to live with my new foster family in 2012. I love to live out in the living room with my foster family and be an important member of the flock. I want lots of different types of treats and people food so my foster mommy has to be careful of what she gives me since I will eat almost anything. On the weekends I enjoy visiting the Beak n Wings store and spending time with all the people and my friends. But, my mommy always keeps me away from all of the cockatoos because I will get too excited and jealous of the other birds around the cockatoos. I am a very happy little boy. I love to wave my head, spin around, and dance in the corner of my cage. My foster mommy is always telling me what a good baby I am. I am learning it is ok to be pet on the back of my head and neck. I always step up when my mommy wants me to. And I do not bite. Adoption fee: $400.
