LITTLE NIKKI's Story...
LITTLE NIKKI is a 5 yr old, 8 lb toy poodle who is spunky and playful. He is a very healthy little guy who loves to play with toys, especially balls and squeaky toys.

NIKKI will make friends with everyone. He LOVES taking walks and playing in the yard, and loves to play fetch and will even bring the toy back to you. He doesn't like people lunging towards his human especially if he is in their arms. Very protective of house and his human. He barks if someone comes near his human. NIKKI would be great with another dog to play with. He is doing better with his housetraining and just needs his new family to give him a bit more guidance. He's very smart!

LITTLE NIKKI is currently fostered in DADE county. To learn more about adopting him, check out his webpage at http://www.coastalpoodlerescue.org/poodles/poodledetail.cfm?DogID=1392

APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY FROM FULL/PART-TIME RESIDENTS OF FLORIDA AS A HOME VISIT IS REQUIRED; NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN FLORIDA, PLEASE LOOK FOR RESCUE GROUPS IN YOUR HOME STATE. WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION.

Can't adopt right now? Consider becoming a foster home for a rescue dog; it's temporary, but very fulfilling and your only cost is their food! Fill out a volunteer application from our website at www.coastalpoodlerescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LITTLE NIKKI, a Melbourne Toy Poodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Toy Poodle for sale in Melbourne, or seeking a Toy Poodle dog from a breeder in Melbourne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Melbourne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Melbourne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Toy Poodle breeders who help with Toy Poodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Melbourne paves the way for another one to be saved.
