Cassidy's Story...
Cassidy has had a hard and sad life so far. When we met her in the shelter her spirit was broken. Even in her photos you can see a sadness. She is a really sweet and mellow dog. We are hoping that someone will bring her out of her shell and show her what it is like to be loved. She does great with other dogs and seems to be comforted by them. She is very quiet and really sweet. Once she gains the weight she needs to she will weigh about 18 pounds. Cassidy is about 5 1/2 years old.

Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Australian Shepherd for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Australian Shepherd rescue.
