Lacy's Story...
Lacy and her brother and sister were a big surprise to us at the rescue, we didn't know her Mom was pregnant when she came to us! They were born on December 13th 2010. Our vet would like to wait until they are 4 months old to spay and neuter so interested families would be foster homes until they are old enough. That means the rescue would take care of food and vet care until 4 months old. Once the spay or neuter is complete then the adoption can be finalized. Please let us know if you would like to be considered to adopt one of the babies and we will send you an application for foster care and adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lacy, a Ft. Collins Pekingese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Ft. Collins, or seeking a Pekingese puppy from a breeder in Ft. Collins.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft. Collins already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft. Collins breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft. Collins paves the way for another one to be saved.
