Vetta's Story...
Hello everyone, my name is Vetta. I am a seven-year-old girl. I had lived in the same place for my whole life, with my Mom and some other dogs. Then my Mom broke her back in an accident and life changed for all of us. Since then I have been living with my foster family in Ohio. I am so confused and sad about the change in my life. They say I am a good girl and did nothing wrong to cause all of this. I would like to find a forever home this time around so I can settle in and be happy.

Right now I live with my foster family and their two dogs. I really don't care for the other dogs so much. In fact, I have to keep reminding them to leave me alone. This home has two older kids, I kinda like them, but prefer the adults. Also there are two cats who I like much better than those two pesky loud dogs. My foster family thinks I would be happiest in a home without other dogs or with a dog my own age.

I do everything my foster Mom asks me to do. I am a good listener. But I can be somewhat demanding. I bark right in my Mom's face and she still doesn't know what I want. Then, I paw at her with my big huge paw. Did I mention I am very sad? My foster Mom says I am the saddest Weim she ever met.

When my Mom goes to work I do not have to go in the crate like the other dogs, because she can trust me. But once she left that pantry door open and boy did I have a party! I like to eat and would like to have more treats, but I guess I am on something called a diet. They tell me I look more like a Weim since I have taken some weight off. I enjoy going in the car and sometimes Mom doesn't move fast enough and I have to get her out of my way to get to the car.

I think once I find a forever home without other dogs that is nice and quiet and I take time to adjust, my life will be much better. A girl can dream can't she?!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vetta, a Grand Haven Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Grand Haven, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Grand Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
