Gender: Female
ID:

Notes: REDNOSED PITBULL MIX FOUND ON AUG. 17, 2006 IN NEIGHBORHOOD OF 22ND AND OLD SPANISH TRAIL. NO COLLAR AND NO CHIP. SHE HAS HAD ADVANTAGE APPLIED AS WE FOUND A FEW TICKS ON HER. SHE HAS ALSO HAD A HEARTWORM PILL GIVEN ON THE 21ST AND WILL NEED ANOTHER ONE IN ONE MONTH. SHE SEEMS TO ANSWER TO MADDIE. AGE UNKNOWN. SHE HAS BEEN TRAINED TO SIT, STAY AND WALK ON LEASH BUT NEEDS SOME MORE TRAINING FOR FOCUS ON LEASH. SHE LEARNS FAST AND IS OBEDIENT TO COMMANDS SUCH AS COME, SIT, STAY AND BAAA TO STOP HER BAD BEHAVIOR. SHE IS GENTLE WITH OUR MALE CAT AND LOVES OUR BOXER. SHE HAS A GREAT APPETITE AND HAS BEEN ON NUTRO WET AND DRY 3 TIMES DAILY. SHE IS CRATE TRAINED SLEEPING ALL NIGHT WITHOUT ACCIDENTS. YOU DO HAVE TO BE CAREFUL ON CARPET AND MAKE SURE SHE GOES OUT. HAVE HAD NO ACCIDENTS ON TILE. WE HAVE HAD HER AROUND CHILDREN AND SHE IS GENTLE AND NOT AGGRESIVE. I DO FEEL SHE WOULD BE A GREAT DOG AS THE ONLY DOG AS SHE IS SO LOVEABLE AND LIKE ALOT OF ATTENTION. WOULD KEEP HER BUT I HAVE HAD 2 HEART ATTACKS AND A BOXER IS ALL I CAN HANDLE. Fees for dogs vary, all reasonable!

IMPORTANT INFO:
All cats are spay/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. If you are adopting a dog, your fee also includes the first year's license, PROVIDED that the dog is old enough to have had it's rabies shot, and you live within Pima County.
Expect an adjustment period. It can take up to 3 months for a pet to settle in. Most of these animals have been through a real hard time.and need love and understanding.
All fosters work hard to correct any undesirable behaviors in these pets. They live with us in our homes. Most of our animals respond extremely well with a little training, patience and love.
If you are interested in a particular pet, email us right away, so we can tell you when and where you can see it.
Animals are not necessarily placed in homes on a first come, first serve basis. They are placed in the best home.
Your adoption application will be carefully reviewed, and it is just the first step in the easy adoption process.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddie, a tucson Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in tucson, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
