Maysie's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Maysie's Story...
Sweet, sweet, sweet! This 2 to 3 yr od, 15 lb doxie/jack russell mix just wants love and quiet time Friendly and submissive with humans, Maysie gets along with people of all ages.
She plays well at the dog park, but has not been tested with cats. Maysie is doing well with her housetraining and makes it clear when she needs to go out. She does a bit of food guarding with other dogs, but has no issues with her people taking things away from her. Maysie is OMG! cute and is waiting for her low-key home. She would probably do best as an only dog or in a home with a dog her size or bigger.

Please see our other available dogs at A Leg Up Rescue such as Oliver or Owen. A Leg Up Rescue must charge an adoption fee which is $200.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete our online adoption application, or please email aLegUprescue@me.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maysie, a petaluma Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in petaluma, or seeking a Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in petaluma.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in petaluma already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a petaluma breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in petaluma paves the way for another one to be saved.
