Finn: ***Prison Dog's Story...
Finn is a love bug. He loves everyone and everything (especially the dog park!) He gets along great with all other dogs, but tends to play a little rough with cats. He's about a year old and around 35 pounds. He knows sit, down, paw, and stay, but he can be pretty stubborn about all of them. Treats motivate him! Finn has a high energy level. So he'd do best with an active family, or someone who would take him to doggy day care. He does tend to cry in his crate, so an apartment may not be the best option for him. He is housebroken, and will go and stand at the door when he needs to go out. Finn is also neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. Requested donation is $125. *** Finn has entered the prison training program where he will receive intensive training (Dog Whisperer technique) for the next six to eight weeks. He will be ready for adoption sometime in early April.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Finn: ***Prison Dog, a Cincinnati Dutch Shepherd/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dutch Shepherd/Border Collie for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Dutch Shepherd/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dutch Shepherd/Border Collie breeders who help with Dutch Shepherd/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
