Fancy's Story...
In order to be considered for one of our wonderful dogs you MUST fill out an application on our website www.sunshinegoldenrescue.com in order to be considered.

Fancy is about 9 months old, heartworm, neg, spayed and UTD on her shots. She seems to be housetrained ---no mistakes so far......She is very sweet and does fine with other dogs. I don't think she was treated well in her last home - she's a little clingy but tends to be pretty calm. Fancy does need activity because she will get into things if left to discover on her own!!!!!!! Training will be a good activity for her. More information to come!

Please visit our adoption information page www.sunshinegoldenrescue.com to find answers to your questions about our process. A list of our fees are published on our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fancy, a New Canaan Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in New Canaan, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in New Canaan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Canaan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Canaan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Canaan paves the way for another one to be saved.
