Lily's Story...

Have you ever seen a cuter, more adorable face?? Loveable, lady Lily, is what her foster family calls her. This charming little girl was found as a stray in Brooklyn, and was luckily scooped up by a shelter worker. When the shelter found her, this sweet gal had so many mattes in her hair. One of the kind rescuers had her groomed, and found such a cute little girl, underneath all that hair, which is when they found the scar on her neck. What a difference from what she originally looked like!! Because some of her mattes were so heavy and thick, they had to shave her in a few spots, like around her neck, and on her tail, but her hair will definitely grow back, and she will look even more gorgeous than she already is!! As soon as her foster mom saw her picture, she knew she had to go down and get this "gem" of a girl.

Although we are not quite sure of her mix, our best guess is that she is a Sheltie/Shepherd mix, and she is medium size, weighing in at only 45 lbs. This friendly little lass immediately adjusted right away to her new surroundings, at her new foster home. She definitely likes to be around people, and will follow her foster family into whatever room they are in. She is a curious lady, sniffing everything, making sure she hasn't missed a thing! Since she's been at her foster home, her personality has truly blossomed, and we see what a wonderful loving, playful girl she is. One of her favorite toys is a tennis ball!

She gets along fine with other dogs, and is not phased, with other dogs being around her. She took one look at foster family's dog, upon meeting her, and just continued sniffing, and exploring her new yard. Lily is a quiet dog, who likes to go about her business, and is more interested in the attention of her people, and will always greet you with a wag of her tail. She is good with children, allowing her foster family's toddler to kiss and pet her on the head, but younger children should always be respectful, and gentle with any dog. It is unknown how she is with cats, as her foster family does not have any cats.

She seems to be housebroken, up to date on her shots, and will be spayed shortly. She is also crate trained, and her foster mom is working with her on learning commands. If you think Lily would be the perfect new addition to your family, then don't hesitate on filling out an application for this sweetie pie!!
