Hershey's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Hershey's Story...
This rather serious Goldendoodle is looking for a quiet home with adults who enjoy taking long walks, visiting the dog park, and kicking back at home.

Hershey is affectionate with people he trusts, but he is timid and uncomfortable with strangers. He will be happiest in a home with a regular routine and not too much bustle and fuss. He's a good watch dog, and he is beautifully obedience trained - even safe to walk off-leash.

Hershey's family must give him up due to a bite incident. The bite was provoked but severe, and for this reason he will not be placed in a home with children. This dog is not aggressive, but he needs people who will protect him from over-friendly strangers.

Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you sterilized, up-to-date on shots, microchipped and treated for internal and external parasites. An adoption fee of $225 will help offset the cost of his care.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hershey, a Seattle Golden Retriever/Standard Poodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Standard Poodle for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Standard Poodle dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Standard Poodle breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Standard Poodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
