found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Oreo’s family decided it was easier to find him a new home when the family started to expand. Oreo was nervous around the screaming and grabby hands of the small children.
Oreo has been in our care for some time, his adoption fee has been lowered in an effort to encourage potential adopters to consider this lovely older guy!
Oreo is a wonderful more mature dog. He is calm, clean and quiet in the home bust still really enjoys getting out for a daily walk or play time at the doggy parks. He sleeps most of the time when indoors but is still quiet spritely and energetic when outside with his people. He’d be happy with a few short walks a day or talking a long walk or hike or spending the weekends at the cottage or camping. He is nervous around small kids (under 5yrs) but LOVES older, more respectful children that can take him for walks or play fetch. He’d be the perfect buddy for children that are a little older; he is easy to walk and loves to please so he’ll do just about anything for attention. He knows basic commands, he is fully house trained and crate trained, he is nervous in the car but with a little more traveling he could get used to it. He gets along really well with other dogs of all ages and sizes – he even tolerates puppies and goofy big dogs, he is also fine with cats. This is a wonderful companion dog for just about any home without little kids around all the time. He can deal with respectful small children that do not pester him but tends to hide away if little kids are running around and being a bother. He is fine to hang out in his crate or take a nap in the bed room if little ones are going to be visiting for a number of hours. Oreo is a great dog for someone who might want to take him to work, he is friendly but knows when to just go take a nap. He is healthy and active at his age and still has a number of good years left; he’d love to find a retirement home. He is used to a house with a yard but would likely do okay in an apartment if walked enough.
