Riley's Story...

Oh this big 'ol head is just full of ideas of how to love you and be the best pet ever!
I am such a sweet girl, so loyal, so fun, so playful and so snuggly! Did you pitties are just over-sized lap dogs!?
I am a great girl who does well with other doggies and has never met a person, big or small, I didn't want to love on! Kitties, ok, they are a bit exciting for me, kind of like fuzzy tennis balls! So maybe better we don't live together, they don't always dig that type of fetch!

I will make a wonderful pet for a very lucky person!
I am fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. I am about 2 years old.
My adoption fee is $120
I am living in foster care so if you would like to meet me please fill out the adoption application at and email or fax that in so we can get together!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Portland American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
