My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

THIS IS OLIVIA...and she is a wonderful, genteel, little lady This lovely, quiet, sweet, cream colored, 12.7 lb, 3-4 yr old, Lhasa/Cairn Terrier girl is the dog that everyone should want! We're sure she would have been adopted by the public, however, just by the luck of the draw, one of her roommates at the Bakersfield shelter had parvo, and since she was exposed, nobody wanted to adopt her :((( Older dogs RARELY get parvo, and Olivia is one that absolutely did not get sick! She barely even got kennel cough! She is healthy, happy and a super little girl. She has a personality that is so balanced...she is very loving, but not needy. She is easy going, but has good energy. Loves to go for walks, seems to do her business outside (or on PP pads) from what we can tell...however, she is picky where she goes outside and has to find the "ideal" spot!! She is quiet, likes other dogs, and is really easy on the eyes!! When we picked up Olivia from the groomer, she was in her cage on her hind legs giving us "pattycake" -- and it was the cutest thing! She is a little picky with her treats, which tells us she is not extremely food motivated, but she really does want to please. She loves to cuddle and almost seems surprised that anyone would want to cuddle with her! Although she was a stinky mess at the shelter -- but look at her now, all dolled up with her ribbons and her bows!! Olivia gives little, gentle kisses to let you know how much she appreciates being out of the shelter and in a place where she is loved....and she needs that forever!! We have found her to be food aggressive with other dogs, so we think it would be best for her to be an only dog, but not left alone all day. Another dog would be OK if you can separate them at feeding time, but not necessary. Do you have a place in your heart and home for this doll?

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!
