Asrael's Story...
Entered 2/4/2011:

Gentle, Affectionate, Playful yet Laid-Back are only a few words that can describe this tremendously sweet and beautiful boy named Asrael. Although new to ARF from a local shelter, he has soon become a favorite of both both ARF staff and volunteers.

Asrael was dropped off at a local shelter last year because his owner had to move to a place that didn't allow pets. His owner was very upset he had to give up his beloved friend and hoped Asrael would find loving forever home. Would you be willing to open your heart and home to him?

Asrael is a healthy 4 yr old brown mackerel tabby and is such a great companion cat that we believe the someone would be glad to share their home with him. He had a special cat buddy at the shelter he spent time with. Plus, ARF recently took Asrael to our booth at the Pet Expo and he did great with kids and dogs who wanted to meet him. Such a cool cat - just takes most everything in stride.

If you would like to meet him please drop by the ARF center or call us at 410-643-8700. If you have any questions you can also contact ARF cat adoption manager Deanna Johns at Deanna@arfusa.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Asrael, a Chester British Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a British Shorthair for sale in Chester, or seeking a British Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even British Shorthair breeders who help with British Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chester paves the way for another one to be saved.
