This blockheaded, English style, chocolate male boasts one of the biggest heads we've ever seen on a chocolate Labrador. At approx. 5 years of age, Kodiak is a mature gentleman of the world. His manners inside and outside are worthy of his breed. He is "no responsive", kennels on command and has good common sense when assessing situations. We loved Kodiak's cat test! When he saw the cat, he began gently wagging his tail, Kodiak and the cat began moving towards each other to exchange sniffs- at the same time - as though they were old friends. We believe that Kodiak has had a warm relationship with a cat in his past. We tested Kodiak's responsiveness to aggressive dogs , the big fellow just calmly turned his head away. He enjoys other dogs and ignores dogs with bad manners. Animal Control was called when Kodiak showed up in a neighborhood where no one knew him. This well cared for fellow is heartworm negative, has a lovely soft coat, excellent weight and a strong body. This small, housebroken "bear" weighs 80 pounds and is seeking a committed relationship with a person or family that can appreciate his goodness and return his devotion.
