My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We've had several Lhasas in our program, but I don't think any have been more handsome than 5 year old Maxwell. And his good looks are only exceeded by his sweet, loving personality. Maxwell was originally an owner turn-in to a high kill shelter because his family was moving to Florida and they couldn't take him with them (funny - but I don't remember Florida turning away families with dogs at the border). But poor Max is quite intimidated by the other dogs in his foster home (even though they're all smaller than he is) and prefers to be in a room away from all the chaos. He seems to be more relaxed with humans - so he would really like to have another family of his own. Children over 12 are preferred as that's what he was used to - he does not like small children. He is microchipped. If you have lots of time to spend with a great new pal, Max is the dog for you! Maxwell is being fostered in southern New Jersey and his asking adoption fee is $200.
