Sally Mae's Story...
I’m a sweetheart of a tortie who loves people and loves to give love. How about a little smooch from a sweetheart of a kitty like me? I’m looking for a new home as my person became ill and is now living in a nursing home. I have lived with other cat pals all my life and have allowed a few small to medium sized dogs to live with me, too. My best buddy (and boyfriend, if you must know) is named Inky. He’s here at Friends looking for a forever home, too. I would certainly love to find a home with another cat…maybe even my best friend Inky. Double the love, huh? And just about as much sweetness as you can handle.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sally Mae, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
