Kodiak's Story...
Meet Kodiak, a beautiful Husky. this male dog, is around 2 yrs old. He loves children, and other dogs, but if you want him, it would be best if you didn't have any cats. This beautiful guy, would be a great dog, for the long cold winters, in the north. He would be a great companion, when you want to take a long walk. Just take a look at him, and see, just how gorgeous he is, and see if he won't fit, right in with your family.'Pooches on the Move' is a cooperative of five great rescues in the Northeast Tennessee area that works hard to home dogs up into loving Pennsylvania and New England homes. We also help local families in our area rehome their dogs when needed and they want them to go to wonderful homes.
Our dogs are mainly fostered in TN with loving families. We have many terrific dogs looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $425 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm preventative as well as their transportation to your area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kodiak, a Windham Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Windham, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Windham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Windham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Windham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Windham paves the way for another one to be saved.
