My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi guys! My name is Butch and I am one of the coolest bullies you would ever meet! I am only 6 years young and super duper healthy. I am an English Bulldog, with possible lines of Olde English Bulldogge in me. What a combo! I am just stunning!
I am a beautiful (almost) solid brindle bulldog boy who is looking for my forever home. I was surrendered to rescue because my family moved to a place that doesn’t allow dogs. It’s tough for me to understand, but I am having a blast with my foster family as I wait for my new family to come along.
I am healthy as a horse! My only special requirements are a home where there is a backyard that I can have access to, and a home where my humans are active. I would love to bike, hike and jog with my owner. I am not your typical lazy bulldog. Now don’t get me wrong, I am up for a movie night on the couch with you, but just know that I do require a good amount of exercise. An apartment or condo wouldn't be a good idea for me, since I don't like to be confined for too long. I like to be free!
I am looking for a leader. Some wonderful human to show me boundaries and love me to pieces! I will try to give you the 'sad face' to get what I want, but don't be fooled! I know how to work it! I really, really need a strong leader.
Also, I am good with other dogs, but no history with cats. A spayed female dog would be a perfect fit, or no dogs at all. An active sister to run around with would be so awesome! Are you willing to be my family?*****My adoption donation to rescue is $300
You MUST fill out an application if you want to be considered for my home. NO inquiries will be returned without an application on file. We DO NOT adopt outside of Arizona, and we do not adopt to homes with more than 2 dogs.

*WHY ARE SOME DOG’S ADOPTION FEES HIGHER THAN OTHERS?
The adoption donation fees are based on age, health and needed vet care of the dogs we have taken in. The younger, healthier dogs help to pay for their cousins that need a little more TLC. You adoption donation fee also covers the cost of the spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip of your new dog.
*CAN WE COME SEE YOUR DOGS?
All of our dogs are in foster homes around the Phoenix area. We require an application to be filled out, a home check to be done, and vet reference check to be complete before having you come meet the dog of your dreams! We will ONLY contact you when we have a potential match.
*I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL DOGS WHO I THINK WOULD FIT MY HOME, BUT THEY ARE NOW ADOPTED. WHY?
We take a lot of time to get to know our dogs in rescue. Some are barkers, which cannot go into condos or apartments, some require companionship of other dogs, and some are not good with children. Each dog is unique!
*IS THERE A WAITING LIST OF APPROVED APPLICANTS?
YES! That is why even if you are not ready to adopt, get your application into us if you want to be considered for a future adoption.
*I AM LOOKING FOR A PUPPY OR VERY YOUNG BULLDOG.
Well, you have come to the wrong place. Rescue dogs on average are between 3 and 7 years old, we do not get puppies into rescue. We would, however, be able to refer you to a reputable breeder.
*BULLDOGS ARE SO EXPENSIVE! WHY?
If you are looking for a cheap bulldog by choosing rescue, need not apply! Rescue dogs are dogs that are going to need ongoing vet care, and a lot of love and training from their new humans. We only adopt to homes that truly want to RESCUE a homeless bulldog. This is not the place to find a “cheaper” bulldog.
*I HAVE AN APPLICATION ON FILE, AND HAVE CALLED A FEW TIMES, WITH NO RESPONSE.
We will contact you when we believe we have a dog that is a match.
Please remember: Not only are bulldogs adorable and cute, they are also high-maintenance and expensive! ☺
