Chester's Story...
Chester is a happy and energetic young purebred Wirehair Fox Terrier. He was born on 9/13/10. Chester belonged to an older woman that is having some health issues with her heart and she is not able to give him the exercise that he needs. He's just a youngster and he's a lot of fun! He is a little shy when you first meet him (and when you are trying to take a video of him, haha...as you can see.) but he'll make a wonderful addition to an active family. Chester loves other dogs! He is ready for his new home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chester, a Harrisonburg Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wirehaired Fox Terrier for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wirehaired Fox Terrier breeders who help with Wirehaired Fox Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
