I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and not good with cats.
FRITZ. You'll want to come and take this fellow for a walk. Fritz is a handsome and well mannered red/mahogany dapple (AKC, no papers). This fellow is a hunter so please, no cats. Because of the prey instinct a fenced yard is a must. Fritz needs his exercise (don't we all), and he will help you keep up on your exercise routine. Fritz is crate trained, a non-barker, and loves to cuddle. Fritz has some typical doxie attitudes, that is he can be a bit bossy. No kids please. He is a real love, but needs some work. Fritz loves other dogs. He is a tweeny, weighing 16.5 pounds.
Please note our strict adoption criteria, including someone home during the day. Part time worker, retired or work from home would be perfect. Fritz could be a great companion. Come and meet him! Fritz is all up to date on the medicals (rabies, bordetella, DHPP, Advantage, neutered) and is looking particularly handsome with recent grooming and pedicure. He comes with a new leash and collar set, custom harness, new toys and blanket, dog food and a free exam card for his next appointment with our Doxie vet at Best Friends Veterinary Medical Center. Adoption fee $295. Oregon Dachshund Rescue Inc. is a 501 c3 non profit with 25 years experience of rescuing Dachshunds. My goal is to provide homes for unwanted, special needs and abandoned Dachshunds. I do not breed or sell Dachshunds for a profit. I receive into rescue 1 to 3 doxies PER DAY. Before adoption all of my rescues are spayed and neutered, made current on rabies, DHPP, bordetella, fecal and dental if needed. The rescues are also groomed, nails done and one month Advantage treatment. I take great pride in finding wonderful forever homes for my rescue Dachshunds. My criteria is very strict because I want to insure the safety and future of each one of these very special rescues. I do not give refunds of any kind for any reason but will offer an exchange for another Dachshund, if you choose. The dog's character, health and physical condition represented by this Rescue is in good faith. The new owner(s) must agree to release, hold harmless and forever discharge Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. from any and all claims arising from adoption of any of our rescue Dachshunds.

The adoption fee depends on several factors and runs from $250.00 to $350.00. This fee includes spay, neuter, rabies DHPP, bordetella, fecal, advantage, grooming, nails and dental if needed. Adoption fees pay the veterinary bills.
