Probably one of my most memorable moments in rescue was standing out in the woods, pitch black 10.30 pm at night with 6-8 inches of snow on the ground and the Sheriffs deputy shining his torch 35ft up the tree illuminating Dodger looking like a rather large Orange Angel at the top of a christmas tree!

Dodgers pictures were taken when he was lost and stray and had moved in on a feral colony. He is such a sweet cat he actually introduced us to a couple of his new friends who up to that point we had not realised were socialised, lost kittys too.

About Our Rescue Group...
Animal Rescue Carolina (ARC) is a no-kill,501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is four-fold: 1) to promote spay-neuter, 2) to restore stray animals to good medical health, before adopting them into permanent, loving homes, 3) to encourage Trap, Neuter, and Return(TNR) and, 4) to educate pet owners about their responsibilities as guardians for their companion animals.

Our Adoption Process...
Those interested in adopting are requested to fill out an adoption application. After the application is reviewed and approved, the adopter is required to sign an adoption contract. Our adoption fees range from $150- $175 for dogs/puppies and $100 for cats/kittens.
