My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I took a JRT from my boss. He had learned how to get out of his yard and after the 3rd trip to the pound he had enough. He was going to put him down. I have had 2 other JRTs so have experience dealing with them and their attitudes and characteristics.
Scooter is a pretty good boy. He was taken care of before I got him and is current on all his shots. He is house broken but does have issues with marking, especially beds and bedding. He gets along well with big dogs, does good on leash, knows sit. He does have a problem with bolting if given the chance. He's gotten better being with me the past 3 months but we are very careful to keep him on leash if a door is open. I've managed to keep him from bolting 3 times now when he did get out but it's just a matter of time.
His biggest issue is with small dogs. My problem with that is that I am currently living in an RV park 98% old folks living here with their little fluff dogs. Like all JRs he will need to be exercised on a regular basis and needs to learn to walk well on a leash.
I like the boy and have worked with him a lot. He has gone from a dog that was just a "dog" to a little dog that likes people and attention. He will sit in your lap and sleep but will also lay at your feet quietly.
I think if he was in the right home with someone that knows JRT, he could be a very content boy. He would like me to try and find Scooter a good home ASAP. I hate to give a dog up but I think it would be best for him. Hopefully you can help us with this boy. He is 5, was papered, gorgeous boy, up to date on shots.
