Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

STAR's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

STAR's Story...
My name is Star and I am a Beagle mix. I am four months old (as of 1/8/11) and live with my foster mom and her two kids, but I am really hoping I find a forever home very soon. I had a rough beginning before I was rescued, but I'm still a very loving sweet very laid back girl. I have had surgery on my tail due to an injury so I have a very short cute little tail now, but that doesn't bother me at all and I certainly hope it won't influence your decision to adopt me!

I love when the kids sit and pet me or take me on walks outside. I am a bit timid when I meet new people, but I warm up very quickly. My foster mom has three dogs and a cat, and I get along with all of them, especially the cat; I think she is my new best friend. I weigh 17 lbs. (as of 1/8/11), I do very well in my crate and am on my way to becoming house broken as well!

My adoption fee is $300 (which includes the $150 transport fee and the extra vetting required for transport to the Northeast).

Note: Using the estimate of "Generally, an adult dog will weigh about twice as much as he did when he was 4 months of age;" from http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2+2108&aid=1068 , we would estimate this dog should weigh approximately 34 lbs. when grown.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

STAR, a Essex Junction Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Essex Junction, or seeking a Beagle puppy from a breeder in Essex Junction.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Essex Junction already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Essex Junction breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Essex Junction paves the way for another one to be saved.
