I am not good with cats.

Carey's Story...
Carey is approximately 6 years old. We believe she was left behind when her owners moved and took up living in a variety store being the store greeter. She now lives with 6 cats and 2 dogs until her forever home can be found.

Carey needs to be the only cat as she doesn't care to be around other cats and prefers to be the only pet. She would do best in a calm household. Carey is laid back and likes to sleep and cuddle with her people. She has a beautiful coat that needs to be brushed weekly.

Carey is available for adoption through Grand River All-Breed Animal Rescue! If you are interested in her, please visit our website: or phone us at 519-650-9228. You can also reach us by email at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carey, a Cambridge Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Cambridge, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Cambridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cambridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cambridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cambridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
