Jake's Story...
Jake is the last of 8 pups born to a stray mom spaniel who weighs only 20 lbs. She was brought to a high kills shelter and her and her babies were rescued in the nick of time. All of the pups developed "juvenile cellulitis " and have been treated by a vet. It caused them to lose some hair primarily on their snout, legs or ears. All of them did well including poor Jake who was hit the hardest his snout and ears were affected widely. He was overlooked as he looked funny with the bald spots, his hair is now growing back nicely he is 12 weeks and 10lbs. Mom is small and we don't know what dad is but the vet does not think the pups will grow to be very large dogs at all. He is papertrained, healthy and happy and all he needs now is his forever home...Please contact us for more info on adopting little Jake..

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Jay Spaniel (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Jay, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Jay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jay paves the way for another one to be saved.
