Amos's Story...
Amos is a very outgoing and bold guy. He loves to jump up wherever he can, testing his boundaries. He loves to play with us but can also entertain himself for quite some time with a few toys....and he LOVES catnip! He is very affectionate and seems to enjoy being the centre of attention. He gets along with dogs, but tends to be a bit bossy with other male cats. Amos is a very affectionate cat. He and his feline friend Arthur would love to find a home where they can get all the attention in the world! The two of them along with 7 others came to Pound Rescue shortly after they found themselves homeless. If you would like to meet the boys please call R.J at 403-837-7442

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amos, a Okotoks Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
