UPDATED BIO 03/19/2011: Ruby is a wonderful, amazing little girl. She is 4-5 years old and weighs 5.2 lbs. She is being fostered in Miami, FL where she is recovering from a bad case of ringworm.
Her skin is clearing up, and this little lady has the BEST disposition. She LOVES to play. She's housetrained, especially if taken out on a harness in the morning. She likes attention, but isn't too demanding. She does like to play with other dogs , however, and her FM is hoping there's a home out there with another small playful dog because Ruby would be in her glory! It will be some time before this sweetie is available for adoption, but once her skin, teeth, and knees are fixed, she will be good as new!!!
UPDATED BIO 02/27/2011: Ruby is an ADORABLE 4-5 year old 5 lb little girlie who is just a pleasure to foster. She is sweet, playful, loving, and an all-around happy dog. She is housetrained and loves every dog she meets. In fact, she would LOVE a furry playmate (one close to her size, please). Now for her challenges.....
Ruby has a bad case of ringworm and is receiving oral medication, topical medication, and shampoos. Once she is cured, she will likely need surgery to address her luxating patellas. In the meantime, we are accepting applications for this sweetheart. Thanks for looking!
INITIAL BIO 02/13/2011: Ruby is a sweet little 5 lb 5 year old girlie who is being fostered in Miami, FL.
Ruby was rescued form a high kill shelter. She has some medical issues that will be addressed this week. Hopefully she will be available for adoption soon. Her teeth are badly in need of a dental. She will likely lose some of them. In addition, she has a rash on her skin that may or may not need treatment. She has an appointment to see the Dogtor first thing in the morning. She is a darling little girl who is so grateful to be in the arms of someone loving. She likes to give kisses and just be your lap baby.
Please stay tuned as we get to know more about this little one. Before she will be ready for adoption, RUby will be getting a full panel of bloodwork, a dental cleaning under anesthesia, and her skin condition cleared up :). Feel free to email her FM for any additional info.
