Walter is a Shih Tzu. He is Black and White. Walter is 5 Months old and was born August 28th 2010. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He weighs around 10 lbs. He should be anywhere from 12-15 lbs full grown.
Walter is a beautiful boy with an amazing personality! He was born here at the rescue after his mom was rescued from a very bad home and she was pregnant. Then early one morning on August 28th, Walter and his siblings were born. Walter is a beautiful boy especially with his one blue eye which makes him even more unique! Walter loves being around people, his favorite thing in the world is to greet you then run down the hallway hop up on the couch and wag his tail and wait for you. He loves giving kisses and being held. He is certainly very spoiled because one look from him and you'll give him anything he wants. He reacts to your expressions and knows when your going to pick him up or want to play with him. He looks at you and waits and his face lights up when he knows your about to pick him up. He also loves to "woof" at you and pretend to pounce when he's being playful. Walter is full of personality and is simply a joy to have around. Walter loves his siblings but loves the spotlight and would much rather all your attention, and food go to him! He loves everything doing with being around his family, from cuddling and kissing to playing and pouncing. Walter is one of a kind and would make anyone a perfect fluffy companion.
Walter would do well in any household. He loves adults, kids, other dogs, and cats. Walter would probably be the one sibling that would love to be an only child! He loves having all the attention on himself, he gets along great with everyone but his face lights up when he knows he gets that one on one attention he craves! He also finds riding in the car fascinating but much rather be on a lap instead of a crate with his brothers. Walter hasn't been leashed trained yet because his siblings just think it's one really long toy that's attached to him. He is puppy pad trained and should do very well transferring to go outside once the weather gets a little nicer. Walter is going to be a pup who needs groomed on a regular basis and has a lot of very fluffy hair. Walter would do very well with a family who works from home, is retired or even if he's able to be brought to work with them! He is a ham when it comes to attention so he'll make anyone feel welcomed and loved when first meeting him. Walter is truly a special boy who brings so much joy from being around him. He's been spoiled and pampered and we want his forever home to do the same!
Walter is not aggressive with other dogs, he has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors.
There is a $650 Adoption Fee for Walter. Which includes Three Booster (Parvo/Distemper) Shots, Three Sets of Worming, Three Vet Check Up's, Flea/Tick Prevention, and his neuter which will take place 2/3/11.
