Oshkosh Homer's Story...
While almost three years old, this handsome brindle fellow is a "retired racer" in name only as he never made it to the race track. Despite his trainers giving him time to mature, Homer just was never fast enough to compete so he'll be a companion for a good long time. Thus far in his retirement, Homer strikes us as a real quiet fellow who doesn't have a "bad bone" in his body. We suspect as he gets his feet under him he'll liven up a bit, and likely have a rather comical personality. He's a diamond in the rough, no doubt he'll be a fun one to watch develop!!
Homer will do well with well mannered children, nonGreyhounds, and we believe cats as well.

Act quickly to adopt Oshkosh Homer. Pets at this Rescue Group may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oshkosh Homer, a Hendersonville Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Hendersonville, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Hendersonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hendersonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hendersonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hendersonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
