PRUDENCE's Story...
Prudence is a beautiful, chestnut colored, light brown chocolate labrador retriever or mix. She is a wonderful girl, so nicely behaved and so grateful. Prudence cares deeply about her human, and is content to be by your side. She's not a high-energy dog by any means; she's calm and quiet and easy-going. By the looks of things, Prudence recently had pups, but she'll be back to her girlish figure in no time. Prudence is estimated to be about 1.5 to 2 years old. She is new to her foster home, but so far seems housetrained, and perfectly behaved in the house. Her foster mom has seen no destructive tendencies whatsoever, and hasn't even seen a need for crating. Prudence enjoys the companionship of other dogs, but she's independent and mature enough that she could easily be an "only dog" also. Prudence is fully vetted, spayed, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, and ready for her new home. Adoption fee is $425; to apply, please visit www.labrescuenetwork.com and submit an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PRUDENCE, a Houston Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
