Bindi's Story...
Hi my name is Bindi! I'm a beautiful young girl that loves to be lavished with attention. I also enjoy sitting in the window and watching the birds outside. I'm very sweet but would prefer to be an only cat. I tested positive for FELV and would need someone to give me a little extra medical attention from time to time.
If you're interested please do some research about FELV and what it means to own a cat with this disease then come to Five Acres animal shelter to visit with me and maybe you could give me my forever home. We're closed on Mondays but are open weekdays 2-6 and weekends 12-6.

I come up to date on shots, microchipped, spayed, dewormed, and FeLV/FIV.

There is no set adoption fee for FELV cats, but a donation when adopting would be greatly appreciated. All donations help, especially since our shelter is the only one in the area that adopts out FIV and FELV cats instead of euthanizing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bindi, a St. Charles Himalayan cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Himalayan for sale in St. Charles, or seeking a Himalayan cat from a breeder in St. Charles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Charles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Charles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Himalayan breeders who help with Himalayan rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Charles paves the way for another one to be saved.
