Isabella's Info...
| Breed: | Chihuahua/Pug Mix | Color: | Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With Black | Age: | Adult |
| Size: | Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less | Sex: | Female |
Isabella is a sweet chihuahua mix at around 3-4 years of age. Somehow this cute little girl found herself at the pound and caught a cold! She was going to be put down but we couldn't let that happen to this little girl. She came into foster care for treatment and is doing great. She adores her people and is a total lap dog if you let her. She is crate trained and working on her housebreaking. She is doing really well but will need continued encouragement in her new home. She loves to play with other dogs and doesn't care about cats. She hasn't yet met children but we think she'll be okay with older children. Please start on an application at www.savingonelife.org if you are interested in adopting her!
$150 adoption donation includes: spay, SNAP test (heartworm/lyme disease/tick fever), heartguard started, vaccinations, license for a year, microchip and collar & leash.
Rescue Group Info...
Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, no kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.
We primarily work with cats and kittens of all ages. We frequently take in "behavioral cases" including semi-ferals needing rehabilitation. We do take in purebred cats of all kinds but specialize in the Cornish Rex and Devon Rex. We occasionally have small dogs to medium dogs available. The majority of our animals come from the euthanasia list at the pound or off the rescue list at the humane society. We do have occasional owner surrenders, but we prefer to help those most in need first.
If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidently got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!
All of our cats & kittens are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, blood tested for felv/fiv, dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fee's range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely no kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care. Our animals all live in homes with foster parents so that they can be acclimated to all sorts of situations and so that they can live as a part of a family until finding their "forever family" instead of in kennels or cages.
A few of our fabulous cats and kittens can be seen at 2860 E Germann Rd, Chandler, AZ 85286. Call the store or email if you are looking to see if a particular one may be there, otherwise with a completed application we are happy to schedule an appointment with any of the animals in foster homes.
When contacting to find out about a cat/kitten emails are ALWAYS preferred and will get a much faster response. If you are leaving a phone message please speak clearly, leave your name, the name of the animal you are interested in, phone number and a brief message.
Our adoption process begins with our application which can be found at www.savingonelife.org. After you submit an application please expect a response within 48 hours - please email if you do not get a response in that time frame. We may ask for a phone interview as well if we have additional lengthy questions. We may require home visits for special needs animals on a case by case basis. If you visit a kitty at Petsmart and want to adopt please either submit an application online or in person at the store with one of our volunteers.
We will adopt to out of state adopters but we do NOT ship animals under any conditions. You must come to us in person to meet the animal and make sure it is a mutual match. We have had many adopters come from the states around us and drive or fly with their new family member back.
We are a foster based, entirely volunteer run animal rescue based out of Chandler, Arizona. However we have foster families all over the greater Phoenix area.
