Sox's Story...
Sox is a beautiful young lady at just around a year of age who was rescued from the euthanasia list at the pound after she gave birth to kittens. All her kittens got adopted right away of course, but being an adult kitty and black - Sox barely had a chance. Thankfully a kind lady was willing to foster her. Sox got her name because she loves to go into the sock drawer and pull out socks, then arrange them around the room. Foster mom wonders if this has something to do with representing her kittens! Sox ADORES people, but isn't quite a lap cat yet (she'd rather sit next to you). She loves to accompany her foster mom everywhere - to observe her while she's brushing her teeth and even sleeping in bed cuddled up to her head at night. She hasn't yet been dog/cat tested but foster mom thinks this sweet lady would do fine with a proper introduction. Please email to meet her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sox, a Chandler Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chandler, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chandler.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chandler already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chandler breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chandler paves the way for another one to be saved.
