Velvet's Story...
Velvet is a VERY loving little girl who we saved from bein euthanized at the pound in Tucson. She has been in foster care for a very long time as we have been trying to figure out her medical issue. Unfortunately Velvet seems to suffer from IBS. She is completely litterbox faithful no matter what, but will have loose stool whenever she is stressed or scared. For this reason we are looking for a very low stress home for her who can accept her special needs. We have run all sorts of tests to rule out any possible infectious causes and we have tried allergen free foods, her loose stool is solely related to how stressed out she gets. She would do great with someone who has a quiet home and a lovin attitude. She ADORES other cats but is afraid of dogs who want to play with her (if they keep their space then so will she). We'd love to find her an excellent home so please email for an application or put one in at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Velvet, a Chandler Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chandler, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chandler.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chandler already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chandler breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chandler paves the way for another one to be saved.
