Maggie's Story...
If you are looking for a small greyhound girl that is sweet, gentle, affectionate, and already home acclimated, Maggie may be the perfect greyhound for you. She is just 60 lbs, already completely house trained, and has a wonderful temperment. Maggie has lived in a home with another greyhound for the past three years. She now needs a new home because her former owner has a serious illness and can no longer take care of her. Maggie gets along quite well with other dogs of all sizes, and has tested as cat friendly, although she has not yet lived with cats. We recently took Maggie to a festival and she did great with all the noise and large crowds. She rides very well in a car, is quiet and rarely barks, loves people and would be a good choice if you are interested in doing pet therapy. In her former home, Maggie often shared the sofa with her owner, so she is a confirmed "furniture dog". Maggie's registered name is "Oneco Hotlips". She had no interest in chasing the artificial lure and never raced. Maggie is 5 years old, a pretty dark brindle, and is in excellent condition. She is just a marvelous dog who will be a great companion for just about any family. Maggie's $250 adoption fee incluedes her spay, teeth cleaning, all vaccines, mircochip, Bordetella (to protect against kennel cough), microchip, leash and collar, adoption guide, grooming mitt, and stuffie toy. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Tampa Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
