Cisco was found in the WalMart parking lot by animal control and taken to the pound. He was so thankful the day SWEETPUPS came along and made his bail! He has shown his appreciation with licks and waggles and by being very polite to the other dogs already at the rescue. He likes to play with the other dogs and is curious about everyone's story about how they came to Sweetpups. He even likes to play a little with the resident children at the shelter, running to catch the ball for them and doing doggie cartwheels in the sun!
Cisco is fullblood dapple dachshund and weighs 14 pounds. He is up to date on shots and neutered and waits anxiously for his forever home to come along.
Adoption fee $100

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cisco, a Vidor Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Vidor, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Vidor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vidor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vidor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vidor paves the way for another one to be saved.
