Sarge's Story...
He's been beaten up and on the streets for who knows how long, but this big, tough-looking black cat is sugar sweet. He likes sitting on laps so much he holds on when you try to put him down! I'm not sure how old Sarge is - maybe 2 or 3 years old - but someone must have loved him at one time because he is a cuddlebug.

He would be a great cat in a calm, quiet home with someone who wants a real companion. Should be okay with other cats as long as they are friendly to newcomers. Indoors only.

A photo is attached but it was impossible to get a good one - he kept walking towards the camera! So this is one of those "self portraits" I tried to take by holding the camera out in front of me while he was on my lap.

Please consider this sweet boy - he isn't a cute kitten or a sexy siamese, but he will give more love and companionship than you can ever know.

He has been neutered, combo-tested, given a dose of Frontline, and vaccinated against rabies and distemper/upper respiratory.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sarge, a Wakinsville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wakinsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Wakinsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wakinsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wakinsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wakinsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
