Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Please note: we do not have a physical location, we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.**
Handsome Harris is a retriever/hound mix and is about 10 months old and 60 pounds as of February. While we don't want to be too superficial here, he IS a great-looking dog and everyone who meets him says, "That's a nice-looking dog......." and adores him, so it must be true! He was found in the south on a dirt road that is a popular "drop-off spot". He had been seen by neighbors in the area for several days. His owner was searched for far and wide but no one claimed poor Harris! He went to live with one of the rescue volunteers.
He is very sweet and playful. He loves to play with his doggy friends outside. He is crate trained. He is laid back and is just a big old lug. He thinks he is a lap dog...well actually he is a lap dog so he is right! He loves to cuddle and would make a great addition to any family. He likes everyone, men, women, kids, dogs, and cats. He has been exposed to cats at many adoption events and shows no interest in them. Harris is just your all around good dog!
Harris is a young dog and would love someone to run or jog with, play with, exercise with. He is a gentle spirited dog who just wants to give kisses and loves everyone!
Like any young dog, he would benefit from basic obedience training. He would be fine as an only dog or would love a brother or sister to romp and roughouse with!
Harris is currently located in the south and we would love to find him a loving home in the northeast. Please visit our web site to find out about our adoption process. Thank you for considering rescue!
