We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

Nicky is an adorable pekingese Pomeranian mix boy who was found locally as a stray dog and not reclaimed. He is probably about a year old and is fully grown at 15 pounds. This little guy is absolutely perfect with no behavioral issues at all. Nicky loves absolutely everyone he meets--dogs, cats, kids 3 and older, and adults! He will thrive in a home with a another playful dog and a fenced yard. He is house trained and his indoor manners are good. If you are looking for a playful, cuddly fluffy little boy to play with your current dog, come visit Nicky. Nicky is with a 501c3 non profit rescue. His $300 adoption fee is to cover his full vetting including neuter, heartworm test and pill, shots, worming, professional grooming and HomeAgain microchip.
To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption. These criteria are not negotiable. If you do not meet these criteria, please choose another dog that will work out better for your family.
