Corkie's Story...
Corkie is a wagging and a dancing fool of a puppy. First there was Mark Spitz, and now there is Corkie the Spitz, future Olympic swimmer. Corkie loves to dip her feet in any container of water and empty it as quickly as possible. If you’re a lake or ocean lover, this sweetie would love to join you for some recreation!

The first step in applying for one of our pets is to fill out an application. This in no way obligates you to adopt. It helps our foster parents learn more about you, which helps them determine if the pet would be a good fit for your situation. Please log on to our website at www.bbcra.org then click on the button on the left-hand side that says Apply to Adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Corkie, a Pittsboro/Durham Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Pittsboro/Durham, or seeking a Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy from a breeder in Pittsboro/Durham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsboro/Durham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsboro/Durham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsboro/Durham paves the way for another one to be saved.
