Trixie Treat's Story...
Meet our three musketeers...Trixie Treat, Teddy and Tara! They were rescued from the pound when they were just 6 weeks old. They are now 10 weeks old (on Feb. 23) and they only weigh 4 lbs each. They will surely be small dogs! They're spunky and happy and they love the children that live at their foster home. We can't wait to see them have families of their own. They're already working on crate training! Because they are so small they will not be spayed and neutered prior to coming to their new homes. Their new family will receive a 50$ rebate when they have it done at 6 months of age.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trixie Treat, a Harrisonburg Jack Russell Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier puppy from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
